Nitrous Oxide
Many people experience anxiety during a dental treatment. We provide several options to help patient relax. Nitrous Oxide, also known as laughing gas is one of those options. Nitrous Oxide has proven extremely successful in reducing apprehension and helping calm your nerves. The quick onset and reversibility of Nitrous Oxide allows you to drive yourself to and from your appointment while still experiencing a tremendous anxiety reduction during your appointment.
If you need to be more heavily sedated, Dr. Nelson may suggest oral conscious sedation, which involves administering anti-anxiety medication before treatment. During treatment, we will closely monitor your vitals and comfort throughout the entire procedure. Many patients remember very little about their procedure. If you chose oral conscious sedation, you will need a ride to and from your appointment.
